Question for anyone with Dr. Enochs

Hi,

This question is for anyone who is working with Dr. Enochs in Cary, NC.  I was wondering how long you had to wait to hear back from his office once all of your pre-op visits were completed and everything was ready to be sent to insurance.

Was it a few days, weeks or longer?  I'm just wondering how long I may need to wait to here from his office.  Did you have to keep following up with the office or were they pretty proactive?

I think that the waiting can be one of the most frustrating parts!

I went to Dr. Tyner in the same office as Dr. Enochs.  I was called within about 3 days of the insurance being approved.  I will say that it depends on your insurance group as to how long it takes to be approved.  Mine is BCBS of KY and I was called by the nurse case manager at BCBS with my approval.  It took  2 days after that for the doctor's office to call me back in for scheduling.

I had surgery with Dr. Enochs on 10/3/11 and I can certainly sympathize with you on the waiting being so hard!   I think it took his office a little over a week to get all the paperwork together and then submitted to insurace for approval.   I worked with Angelica Wilfong and she was very prompt in getting back to me once I was approved.  As soon as we were approved they scheduled us to come back for a f/u with Dr. Enochs.  They do this as a group class.  Then you meet with Dr. Enoch, then Connie to schedule your surgery.  I thought the waiting was going to kill me!  I was so anxious but once we did our follow-up it felt like everything started moving very quickly.

Good luck to you, what surgery are you planning on having?  My husband and I had RNY GB on the same day both with Dr. Enoch and I cannot tell you how wonderful I think he is!  We had our 2 week f/u this past tuesday and he was very helpful at answering all out questions. 

We both did great without any complicaitons!  Hope things go as smoothly for you!
