Hi all,

It is such a pleasure to think outside ones self.  I got an opportunity to work with a new interpreter student last night.  I am hoping that I get more opportunities like this.  I actually forgot about the crap for almost an hour and a half!

I started another online group. Victorious Losers2 is now up and running.  I haven't had a whole lot of luck getting activity on the online group in PA so maybe I will have better luck in NC, huh?

Today is more study.  I set up my schedule for Monday, Wednesday and Friday as being study days.  I need to get through nine levels, yikes!

What is on your agenda?

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Honestly, my goals for today is walk this morning, get a shower, and hit the gym this afternoon.

Yesterday I got all my little girl's dance class stuff together. I've spent nearly $200 already! I do have to say she looked so cute when we put her in the ballet outfit!

Tonight is exciting. We have the Goat Patrol coming to give us an estimate on clearing out all the vines in the back yard. We've not done anything to the yard for about 10 years so it is vines galore! The Goat Patrol really is a group of goats who come over and just feast on all your vines and vegetation until they clear out the whole yard. Of course, we won't be talking with the goats tonight, just their handler. And personally, I've never been able to converse with goats all that well!

We have another quote for the back yard so we may not use the goats but it is worth the time to see what the goats could do.

Hope all you newly surgery-ized folks are doing as well as can be expected. These are hard times in the beginnning. But it does get better. I'm at 3 months now and am able to eat just about anyhting. I can't stand eggs, fish or water anymore but I'm hoping this is just a phase, like so many other phases I've experienced since the surgery. Just keep the whole 'phase' thing in mind while you are recuperating. This, too, shall pass is a favorite quote of mine these days.

Staples came out. YAY!! I feel like i can scratch without fear of my nails ripping one of them out.
Timed my walk- total of 36 minutes each time and I do it twice a day.
Not having any issues getting liquids in and my protein levels are still low but I have been upping them slowly each day.
I got a nasty email from a member on here who had a totally different surgery and he/she said I should be ashamed because now I have no Pyloric Valve. LOL hated to inform the person but yes I still do- there is a pyloric valve at the top and one at the bottm, I know because I asked my surgeon and his partner about this. So yea, if they want to be nasty that way- HELLO block and ignore.

I am really beginning to dislike Chicken broth and beef broth- HECK any kind of broth and found otu today that I should have been on purees when I left the hospital- LOL and I have been doing FULL liquids. YIPES. It is ok though, I am thinking about going and getting something here in a bit that I can either puree or chew really easily that becomes a pureed consistency. We will see. I go on softs on Monday- YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Well off for now, gunna go finish washing these windows swags, they needed it.
