Hey All.  Wanting any advice....I had RNY May 26, 2011.  Have lost 44 lbs and I'm stuck.  Have remained the same weight for 2 weeks now.  I've been frustrated feeling like I'm loosing slower than most, but now really frustrated.  Any advise/help would be appreciated...
thanks

You have hit the stall that most of us face.  It is very frustrating!  Focus on your vitamins, liquid and protein and it will pass!  It really does I swear  -  even if it does not feel like it  - it will! :)

thanks for the reply.  I hope it passes soon.  I will take your advice and focus on getting in enough protein, liquid and keep taking my vitamins.

Oh yeah, you've hit another stall. You'll probably hit a few more of them on your way down. Expect them. I know I don't enjoy them - they suck out loud! But we all have them. Sometimes they last a short while and sometimes they last longer. Did you take your measurements when you began this journey? If so, check them again during this stall. Some people say that while we might be stalling we are still losing inches. What a hopeful thought!

i did take my measurements.  I haven't done them in about 2 weeks.  I will do them again tonight.  i've been avoiding doing them for fear that they haven't changed and then I'll be even mor disappointed with that in combination with the scale not moving.....thanks for the reply....it does help to know that everybody experiences these stalls.

The one positive I can share is that when I hit a scale stall I usually go down a pant size

I like to think of it as a "Body Readjustment Phase"

I just got over a stall and have lost a pound a day for a week.  So once you get past the stall it starts melting off again!

can I ask how long your "stall" was?  did you do anything to help jump start your weight loss again?

It was about 10 days, maybe a little longer.  I have weeks when I lose a pound a day and then weeks I lose nothing or maybe just 2 pounds.

You really have no choice but to succeed with this surgery so relaxing and making sure you are eating enough protein and getting enough fluids is about all you can do.

My first stall lasted about 2 weeks. How's it going for you?
