Sunny Sunday Roll Call

Hi all,

Did any of you get rain yesterday?  Maybe today we will get some.  Hubby has to work day shift today so I will be attending church alone again.  I think I may grill today. Tonight I shadow someone giving a wine tasting.

So, what are you up to?

Hi ...new on here...no rain yesterday just HEAT.  My flowers and plants are withering away -wish we would have gotten rain but nothing here in Mt Holly (near Charlotte).

Here in Albemarle (Close to Charlotte also) no rain for us either. It was about to hot to even do anything. I want to go see if Rue 21 still has a pair of pants I seen a few weeks ago I wanted. They are $34. I don't want to pay that much but they sure are pretty. White jeans. I love that store but it is a teenage store and I will be 47 next month. Our wal mart don't have anything to fit me. Except in childrens and I refuse to put on Dora or Elmo. lol.Have a blessed day all.

It rained a very little bit last night here in Clayton.  Not enough to measure anything though.  Only plans on the books today are to go see Captain America!!  Very excited about that! lol

NO and they were showing a HUGE storm right on top of us and NOTHING happened. I told the DH that maybe it evaporated before it got 10 feet from the clouds. Not too much planned for today. Did some coupon clipping- told DH that I am gunna start couponing and he said fine as long as I dont go nuts like other people we know do. I swear one of my neighbors was stealing our Sunday paper just for the coupons. We do not have it delivered anymore, I have a good friend who works at Food Lion who holds one or two back for me and I go pick them up there now. Wasn't much to write home about coupon wise this week. Might be better next week.

Making blackened chicken with southwestern rice tonight. I make the rise seperate from the viggies and then I will have the chicken and the southwestern VEGGIES and give him the rice and veggies that are left over mixed up.

GUnna be another scorcher today. I am staying inside unless I realy absoultely positively must go out.
