How much did you have to lose before surgery?

Do the best that you can to lose weight.  Getting your liver as small as possible is key.  I had surgery in May.  They couldn't complete it because my liver was too large.  They had to close me up and send me home.  Take the diet seriously.

Before changing surgeons, the first one required 15lbs and the one I am with now doesn't require I loose anything during the 6 month PCP visits and says I will be on a 2 week pre-op diet to loose weight prior to surgery.  When I started my visits I lost 19lbs :-)  BUT during the course of the 6 months I have gained 8 of those 19 back :-( .....   Looking at surgery sometime in Sept. and I hope to loose 10-20 (or more) LOL by surgery day.
