Our support group will hold its 3rd meeting Thursday night, June 23, at 6 PM at the Halifax Health Links in the mall.  This is a new and growing group dedicated to helping those who have already had surgery, are considering it or are a support person.  Our program will deal with healthy eating, especially emphasizing getting your required protein.  This will include a tasting of some available products.  Please join us.  Send me a message if you need more information or call the halifax Health Links in Roanoke Rapids.  Janice

I'd love to know more.  I'm not in RR, but I have family there who might benefit.  They claim to be letting me be the guinea pig, but I think they would maybe benefit from the support group by finding ways to support me AND themselves.

Hi-  It has been good for me and is a growing group (numbers, not weight!).  We will meet again on July 28, 2011, at the Halifax Health Links in the local mall.  The meeting starts promptly at 6 pm and runs 1 hour.  We will be continuing a tasting with protein products.  A lot of the leaders are associated with the local hospital and have had surgery and are very knowledgeable.  Looking for interested people who have either had surgery, are considering it or are support people.  Let me know if there is anything I can do.  Janice
