Cool breeze Wed. Roll Call
Hi all,
I have the house all opened up and the cool breeze is a welcome sight! Today, I have to practice. The pipers meeting is Saturday and I'm supposed to have this tune learned. Yikes! Nothing like cramming for my "exam" lol. Next, I'd like to learn the tune, Silver Spear. It is a very happy reel.
Well, I am officially a sign language tutor through WyzAnt. I am hoping I will get some students and start making some bucks. This has been my nitch for years and I might as well keep doing it.
Anyway, how are you doing?

Pipers as in bagpipes? My hubby's son is a piper. We try to do a few highland games a year but nothing this year. Ahh well. You will have to record us some of your tunes and give us a listen.
Nothing much planned today other than finishing going through stuff and rehoming most of it.

Hi,
Well, I think it is a different kind of pipes. Here is their website.

My exposure to the whistle has been self taught in the mountains of PA. My friend who is a beginner on the lap dulcimer and I "practiced" together using most of her music. So the tunes I play are a lot of folk music. I went to the piper meeting last month and was so amazed at the talent they were willing to share with me. All three of them brought their wistles and told me they would teach me everything they knew. I missed this month's meeting because I got the weeks mixed up. I have been working on a challenge tune for months and they learned it in a couple minutes. So that is what I am working on now. I would love to meet you all.
