Pre OP @Hospital
Yipee!! Had my pre op at Rex Raleigh this morning. Took forever but now all I need to do is show up Monday at noon (surgery @2pm) and get rolling to the new me!!! Down now 13lbs so thrilled Dr. Enoch said they could not do the gall bladder removal unless live reduced so I sure hope it has. Want everything done at the same time. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.
How did they diagnose your hernia? I'm afraid I've got one. I've had one in the past and it feels an awful lot alike. He can do the hernia repair and the bypass at the same time? How does that effect recovery? I guess I should ask him, that is if I ever get another appointment to see him. I'm not real please with the way things are not progressing right now.
Good luck to both of you.
Dr. Enochs is wonderful. My surgery was 3 years ago and it was flawless. I credit Dr. Enochs for my success - you can 't even see my scars (I just had a TT so those lap scars would not matter now anyway)!! A great surgeon makes all the difference in the world. They were good at Rex, too. Just be careful about what they bring you to eat. I think they were just starting up with the bariatrics when I had my surgery and I had to send a few things back - of course I didn't want to eat anything anyway!! I do think I remember them bringing my regular jello and juice - both full of sugars.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! Get ready for the ride of your life!! Be sure to sip, sip, sip to help keep you hydrated and make sure to walk, walk, walk to help move that gas through your system and keep the chance of developing a clot at bay.
Wishing you a safe surgery and smooth surgery, followed by a quick and gentle recovery.
All the best,
Barbara
