NC Revision Drs

Forgive my anonymity but I am ashamed that I have even returned to such a position.  I am seeking advice/suggestions on a dr in NC that can revise my RNY to "something else."  In the surfing I have completed, I believe my only option is a coversion to a DS but look to you all as resident experts.

I was once the golden child of the RNY losing 160 pounds in the first 8 months and hitting goal. I have regained nearly all of my weight. My current bmi deems me "morbidly obese" and my comorbidities have returned.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

(((RNY_Failure))),

I'm so sorry that you are experiencing so much difficulty. I'm not sure where you are, but I believe that if you are in the central NC area, you may want to go to Duke and talk with Dr. Ranjan Sudan. I believe that they do revisions, but am not sure of what their criteria is.

I'm glad that you are here and hope that you will feel comfortable here. I have found that this is an incredibly warm, accepting group. I doubt that you will find anyone that will flame you or give you a hard time regarding your regain. If there is anything that I can do, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Wishing you all the best,

Barbara
