Hi Annie,
It's great to hear from you and great to hear that you are able to do soooo much more now that you have lost so much excess weight. For those newbies who do not know your story, they just may not realize just how far you have come. You truly are an inspiration!
I'm so glad that you are able to work regularly now, but I must admit that we really miss seeing you at the Saturday meetings.
I noticed that you said that the 'Celxa' is helping you a lot. I hope that it's not 'Celebrex' because if it is, it could be very, very dangerous for you to take since Celebrex is an NSAID and they are contraindicated for RNY patients because they are known to increase our likelyhood of developing ulcerations either in the the pouch itself or at the junctions where the bowels were rerouted. If you haven't don't so already, it's important to contact Dr. Farrell to get a clearance to take it. Sometimes they do clear you, but then follow you if and when you are taking NSAIDs or they work with your other Dr. to find something less dangerous to our 'new' GI tract.
(Edited to fix 'fat finger syndrome typo' correcting 'Celexa' to 'Celebrex.' BTW... If it's 'Celexa' it's not a problem because it's an SSRI.

You are soooo right... I must have been having fat finger syndrome, because I meant to type Celebrex.
Thanks for catching that! I'll go edit to correct my typo.

All is well here and dont worry my pcp is in the UNC system and often will talk to Dr Farrel if she has concerns with labs and meds.
I am on a low dose of CELEXA 10mg I discussed with my pcp about how many meds do upset the pouch so this is why she wanted to start out with a small dose.
I stay on top of my health and always ask questions after all I am the consumer.
