I Love Charlotte

I just discovered the 4 mile creek greenway, that connects into the lower McAlpine creek greenway, that connects into the McMullen creek greenway.  Holy cow, it's almost 6 miles one way.  Fantastic.  I'm also loving McAlpine park 5K trail, except for the mega hill in the middle.  I'm new here, and loving all the trails in town (and dog parks).  I love Charlotte!

Have you ever been to Reedy Creek Park. They have awesom trails there as well. You should check it out!

I'm fairly new to Charlotte, I'll go and check out Reedy Creek Park too.  My son and daughter in law want to go back to Raleigh, where they went to school.  So I know Cary is nice too.

We do have lots of great greenways & parks. :)  I just wanted to remind you to be aware of your surroundings and to carry pepper spray (or some other type of defense) if you are out by yourself.  Hopefully you have a partner to walk with but I know that's not always possible.  Just be safe while you're enjoying these areas. ;)

Gosh, you're right, I need to do that, I'll find some pepper spray.  I'm usually so engrossed in my music or audio book, I'll need to stop that too.  Hey, want to walk and run with me?  Sounds like you're volunteering.

I don't mean to scare you or anything; just want you to be safe. ;)  I wouldn't be a very good walking partner right now b/c I wouldn't be able to keep up.  Maybe after I'm post-op and down a few pounds.  Plus, Iit's hard for me to get away fwithout my kids right now.  They are NOT good walking partners.  They walk circles around you and stop when they want and lie down in the middle of the trail and throw temper tantrums and fight with each other...you get the picture.  LOL!
