Doctor
Does anybody have a primary care physician in the Apex, Chapel Hill, Cary area that they would like to recommend?
I posted this question a while back and Barbara C. gave me her doctors name. However, I called yesterday to make an appt because I'm sick and unfortunately they are not accepting new patients. So I'm still looking. I hate the trial error thing. So if anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

I changed PCPs because of insurance issues and now use David Becker, MD with Carolina Family Practice and Sports Medicine. I really like him. I see him in their North Raleigh office that is off Six Forks near 540, but I know that he also see patients in their Cary office. You might try them to see if they are accepting new patients. I have seen a couple of their other providers as well and have been equally impressed by all that I have seen so far. There phone number is 919 238 2000. I think that the Dr I referred you to before was probably Corey Musselman, MD with Crescent Family Practice in Cary. I hope that this is helpful.

Yep you are right Barbara, it was Dr Musselman. And thanks for the new suggestion for Dr Becker. I'm kinda looking for a doctor that stays in one location. I dealt with another office like that and I never got see the original doctor I saw and then was bounced around to all the associates. I'd like to build a repore (sp) with one doctor. My luck would be, the day I needed the doctor he would be in the other office.......thanks again Barbara.
I understand what you mean about not wanting to be passed around and with Dr. Musselman's office, they just had a single location, but I have to tell you that there were a couple of times that he either wasn't in or was booked and couldn't work me in, so I saw his associate. With Dr.Becker, I can see him in either office, but generally see him in the Raleigh office. I saw his associates when he was out of town. They do a great job of not 'passing you off', but making sure that you are taken care of as soon as possible. Some of the things I like about Dr. Becker is that he takes a conservative treatment approach, but is also very good about being or becoming informed about issues that concern his patients. He didn't have WLS patients before me, but now has several. He looks into the issues that arise for us and is great about making sure that I get my labs done regularly, makes the appropriate adjustments when necessary, etc... All of that said, you need to go with what makes you most comfortable.

I see Dr. Vijay Juneja at the Cary Internal Medicine and Diabetes Center. I started seeing him before my RNY - my diabetes is now in remission (or gone depending on who you talk to) but I continue to see him. He's a good doctor and his office personnel and nurse are very nice. They are in Cary off Cary Parkway near Bunkeys Car Wash. I am pretty sure they are taking new patients. They draw general labs in the office, can do gyn checks if you want, and I plan on having them do my next bone density test.
