Good Morning Everyone! Monday Edition
How was your weekend? What are your plans for today? The rest of the week?
I had a wonderful weekend. I attended the meet-up on Saturday and for me the time I spent there was well worth the travel time. Although I had to leave the meeting before it concluded, I left that room in a completely different frame of mind then when I entered. Thank you all that attended and shared. It amazed me that what was shared was exactly what I needed to hear at that time in my "journey". Thank you Barbara for providing so much support for each of us. Your support means so very much.
I usually have company when I travel to the meet-up so that I can have time with my friends and we can make a girl day after the meeting. So to be fair to my friends I give myself 1.5 hours at the meet-up and then we are off to enjoy some shopping and time together. We had a great time shopping and of coarse we included all my favorites with the last stop in Raleigh at Trader Joe's. We ended our day with a Mediterranean restaurant for a yummy dinner.
I was able ride my Harley on Sunday when it warmed up. It had been so long since I was on it, I was worried that I would forget how to ride! I love the free feelings I get when I am riding my motorcycle. The cooler part of the day was for errands and chores.
Today is a holiday for most but our office is open. I decided to use a personal day to get some more errands and chores completed. I think I will surprise my husband with a homemade mexican casserole dish for dinner and make a slow cooker stew for my lunches the rest of the week.
Enough RAMBLING from me. Come share your thoughts or RAMBLING with us.
Wishing you each a WONDERFUL Monday!
I am at work, wishing we did not have to make up the snow day. I am excited I have Thursday off for my one year check up. I am looking forward to having my labs done. It was a great weekend of football and provided dinner on both sat and sun. I enjoyed some shrimp and veggies on Sat at my moms and a turkey dinner at my MIL on Sunday. Always nice not to have to cook on the weekend.
Nothing much on tap for this week, beside the Dr apt. Just running after my kids sport schedule.
Everyone have a fabulous week!!!!!!

Next time you come up we'll have to schedule some time to visit. i miss you my friend! That said I was delighted to see you again.
I'm still having a tough time sleeping. That may have been apparent at the meeting. I'd only had about 2 hours of sleep the night before and did the same last night. I've got to get this under control... It's really beginning to wear me out... in so many ways... did you notice, no make up, a bit frazzeled,etc...
This morning I had another bone scan done. My last one was done in 09. Not too happy; this time I measured in at 5-4-3/4. That's an inch shorter than when I had surgery. I don't know how much is related to genetics 9my mother, sister, grandmother all had/have osteoporosis without having a bypass) and what might be related to malabsorption, but I'm beating myself up for every missed calcium dose since surgery. As soon as my broken wrist heals, I vow to start exercising in earnest.
After my scan, I wasn't feeling great, so I've tried to catch up on some rest.
I'm looking forward to seeing several buddies at the grads group tomorrow night.
