The nightmare is over!!
OMG who would have thought getting a gas range for Christmas was such a headache.
As of yesterday we finally got gas!!!!
I have been stuck at home week after week waiting on service people to show up.
Then the snow came and went thank goodness.
Yesterday the lines were inspected 4pm rolled around and still no gas.
It has been almost 30 days and no stove.
Enough is a enough I called the gas company and within 15 minutes they sent two trucks out.
I cooked our first dinner on the stove last night and used the wonderful cookware my brother gave me for Christmas.
I even made the vanilla sauce I had made during the holidays over fresh berries and used a fresh Madagascar vanilla bean and would you belive I dumped!!!!! I thought I was dying.
The cream sauce used 1/2 cup sugar and makes 4 servings so I am wondering if being under stress like I have been could have caused this.
Anyway it did happen just have to be even more careful when under stress normally I do not like sweet any more but this has never been to sweet.
So I am going to ride my bike and get back into my schedule.
Havent been able to walk the dogs because of ice and I cant risk falling on my steps and not to mention Arthur is hard to handle and I have to be sure footed when walking him.
So going to continue to take care of me and put this nightmare behind me.
Next adventure is getting firelogs.
Already had some deliverd told they were too big so have to have them sent back.

Hi Annie,
I'm sorry it's been s uch an ordeal, but I'm glad you finally have your gas stove in. You might try making the vanilla sauce with splenda and see if that helps next time around.
Enjoy your new toy!
