Hey Gayle,

I had surgery with Dr. Cox with Hickory Surgical.  I went thru the Frye program.  You can do this!!  The first few days of liquids is the hardest.   Drink the V8 juice, sugar free popscicles, and chicken broth.  They helped me alot.  Couldn't handle the jello.  It won't be long before surgery.  Just be patient with yourself during the preop

Hi Gayle,

Welcome to the forum. I look forward to getting to know you as you embark on your own journey. While I remember feeling that surgery felt sooo far away, believe me when I me when I tell you that it will be here before you know it. This is your time to take care of you. Know that as you work on your preop diet, that you are working on making sure that you are as healthy as you can be. As you lose weight during your preop diet, you'll be shrinking your liver, making your surgery easier for your surgeon and safer for you.

Take care and enjoy this wonderful, transforming experience.

Thank You ladies. Day two of liquids went better except for the mood swings.  I just try and stay super busy and not think about food.
