Checking in

 Sorry folks I havent posted  in awhile been doing the holiday thing and dealing with family drama.
Well I got my gas range and it is so pretty.
But... still no gas but Wednesday I should have gas.

Saw my brother during the holidays and he looks so bad it breaks my heart into a million pieces.
He told mother and I he is ashamed to be seen in public.
So with that statement being said it brought back something he said to me years ago and that was he was ashamed to be seen with me.

That hurt so bad when he told me that.
Now the cards have changed and makes me wonder.

My husband had an endoscopy today OMG he has gastritis with hemorrhage
The doctor told Lee what he needs to do but as I always have said action speaks louder than words.
So what shall I do I will take care of ME

I'm so very sorry to hear of your brother's ill health. Hopefully you can help him to see that he has nothing to be ashamed of and that you and the rest of your family love and support him, regardless of his appearance.

I'm so sorry for the pain he caused you in years past and I'm so glad that you have  grown past the woman he spoke to those many years ago.

I hope that Lee both hears and heeds the Dr's words for his own sake and yours. I'm glad that you have been and continue to take care of yourself because it's hard to care for others if we don't care for ourselves.

thanks for your kind words and advice.
In fact my therapist pointed out something to me I never understood till she told me.
She said if I were flying and had a child with me and the mask in the plane dropped down as the adult I would have to use it first before having the child use it.
The reason she said this is so that I could take care of myself so I would be able to help the child.

So even tho my family members are fading fast around me I am staying the course.

I am on my way to buy this beutiful stained glass vase I saw at Southern Seasons about a month ago.
The vase has all kinds of wild birds on it.
To me this helps remind me to keep flying ahead even in stormy weather.
I am going to put it in my front hall so I will always be able to enjoy it.
I plan on filling it with silk flowers I can pick up from time to time at Target and Wal mart.
