Still in Liquid Diet Phase - Any Good Recipes?

I'm still very early on in the liquid only phase diet. I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes they could share? It would be nice to have something a little different from the same old same old I've had as of late. I can't eat any soft or solid food at this point. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks. And Happy New Year to Everyone!

Honestly, popcicles and liquid broth saved me. I drained the noodles out of chicken noodle soup. It was better than just the broth. This will pass! Then you'll be on to real foods soon!

Lisa,

i did broth soups to be able to manage this phase. by that, i mean that i used broths and then infused them with the flavors i would have in a normal soup and  strained it clear. i did a version of hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, chicken and dumplings, french onion, vegetable beef, etc... i would often do the actual soup based on a broth, feed that to my family and strain it for me.

i hope that helps

Lisa-My favorite was soup from a japanese restaurant. You know-the one that has a half of mushroom and a slice of green onion floating on the top? I could purchase it by the pint and just discard the "floaters". Yum!!!!!!! Sugar free fruit bars rock too!
Hope this helps,

My neighbor made some potato soup, which really tasted more like stewed potatoes.  I put it through my Ninja with a lot of the broth.  It was nice to have something that tasted more like "real" food.

I have also been using yogurt to get some of my proteins.  I mix in some soy milk to thin in out just a tad, it also adds some more protein.

I am 9 days post op myself, and have had a hard time trying to find things that keep me interested and continue to taste good.

Good luck on your journey!
