Surgery Date Scheduled for RNY on 12/28

I would suggest that you consider getting protein shakes at either The Vitamin Shoppe or GNC to start with because you can buy individual or small portions as you figure out what you like and what you don't. I never did order stuff online, but know that there are a number of folks who do so. 

Everyone will tell you..."don't buy too much of anything, because what you like now, you may not like after surgery."
And I don't think anyone can tell you which protein is good or bad because we all have different tastes. I personally ordered the sample packet from Chike,  I know there are other companies that have sample packs but for the life of me I can't remember them. I used Chike for the first couple weeks and did fine with it, however, I now use EAS from Sam's Club.

I enjoy comming on the OH site because there is so much information and support that you get from these people. I know Barbara was always there to offer suggestions or encourgment when I needed it. Hugs and prayers for your upcoming surgery.

Thank you for all of your post. I have the same surgeon and I applied in early October for the surgery. I completed all of my pre-op test November 5th and now I wait for a meeting with the surgeon and to schedule a date. I pray that I can have it in January but I am getting nervous. I called a couple times and was told that they were waiting on all of my results. I would have thought my results were turned in by now. I am getting the bills and everyone told me it would only take a few days to get the results turned in. It's good to hear that I am not the only one that felt this way and it seems I need to hold on a little while longer. Thanks again for your posts. It has inspired me.
