WOW had no idea, I knew Dr DeMaria left but did not know he was charged as a criminal. Glad he is not my surgeon.

No one is above the law.  What a shame for his patients!

Someone else brought it to my attention earlier in the week, but with my Mother in law's death Tuesday, it hasn't been high on my radar. Dr. De Maria was my surgeon and very competent at that. I had no idea about any of this and I hope that there is some reasonable explanation and of course, do not consider him guilty since he has been charged, but not yet tried. That said, while I find this all disturbing, I also know that I was in very competent hands with my surgeon and the program.
