Time Standing Still

It seems as surgery gets closer that time is now at a standstill.  I think everything is in order and I'm ready for my IVC filter placement tomorrow and RNY on Thursday.  I've taken most people's advise of the less is more theory on pre-surgery shopping.

Fortunately, UNC doesn't require a liquid diet prior to surgery but I am being very very careful what I eat (even at thanksgiving). On a scale of 1 to 10... 10 being super stress and worried and 1 being not worried at all... I'm probably a 6.  Wife is about a 14....
Sorry for the rambling message...this site is great for stress release.

It's so normal to get a little nervous about the upcoming surgery, but let your wife know that statistically this isn't really much more dangerous than Gall Bladder surgery and she probably would be okay with that. You are likely to be soooo much healthier in both the short and long term. My mother was so very concerned and nervous about my having this surgery as well, but when she saw my metamorphosis she was so glad that I did it. I'm glad she lived long enough to see me as I am now; healthy and free of the grip of Diabetes, Sleep Apnea, High Blood Pressure and the other health issues that were threatening not only the quality of my life, but the length of it as well.

Hang in there and let us know how you are doing.
