Wearing the size tag on the OUTSIDE

I was sooooo excited about buying my first pair of size 10 jeans I wanted to cut the tag out and put it on the leg so everyone could see. It is so funny to buy the new clothes and be so excited and those around you have no idea why you are so excited.
It is so different to see overweight weight people shopping in the plus size and your heart goes out to them, and they glance over at you and are probably thinking it is so easy to find clothes at my size now. They don't even know that just 10 months ago I was shopping right were they are. It weird that just 10 short months ago I weighed over 280 pounds and now I am buying size 10's. What a difference.

Hi Audra,

Great post! To this day, when I see someone who is the size I was and I see them giving me that I wish I were your size look, it makes me think I wish I could tell them. I generally don't because I don't want to infringe on their space, but ...

That said, I never in a million years thought I'd be the size I am today. More than that, I wasn't quite sure that I'd be able to stay here. The surgery did it's 'magic' helping me to strip off the weight, but it has moved to being an indispensable tool in my arsenal to help me keep the weight off and remain in the single digits.

Congratulations on your phenominal success.

Wishing you all the best,

Barbara

Yay! I feel the same way. I did a happy dance when I put on my first size 16's and I'm not even done losing yet! I want to tell every overweight person I know to have GP, but I know that it's not for everyone and that it's a very personal decision. I'm just so happy with my surgery that it's hard not to want it for others! Congrats!
