Good morning my dear wls friends I just got home from taking the dogs for a walk.
I am so happy to be able to walk them now it is cooler.
I worked the weekend and that went well both days.
I relized that along with me feeling better about me I am able to speak up for myself too.
On saturday my friend told me that the lead person had told her that I took way to long at lunch.
Oh My lunch is only 15 minutes and by the time I purchase my tiny sandwich and pay for it my break is almost over.
Ok the red flag went up and I told the lead person if she had a problem with me to come to me about it.
I know in the past I would of taken the insult and not said anything.
This time I spoke my truth.

I also am taking under my wing a young woman who desperatly needs surgery and as of this year medicaid wont pay.
I do know Voc Rehab will.
Her weight is effecting her at work and she is unable to play with her 5 year old.
So tomorrow I am meeting her for lunch and hopefully with have some contacts for her.

The rest of this week I will be cleaning for our annual fall party this year it will be here.
Lee takes another week vacation starting Wednesday.
Today my girlfriend and I are going shopping out to lunch and walking the mall.

The other day a baked some thin porkchops with Shake and Bake well I was getting ready to do the happy dance about the pork chop working..........
Well got stuck felt like I had been hit by a mac truck drank my hot tea and felt much better.
I wont be doing pork chops for a long time.

Hi Annie,

I'm glad to hear that things are going so well for you.

The next time you try pork chops, consider braising them. Cooking them in liquid is likely to render a much moister pork chop. Pork chops can over cook very easily and when they do, they become tough. Just cook the pork to 165 degrees. Also, you may want to avoid 'Shake N Bake' next time because it's loaded with sodium and sugar. I do a homemade version that lowers the sodium content and doesn't use sugar.

I hope that you and Lee will be able to enjoy your time together as you prepare for and host your annual fall fest.

Wishing you all the best,

Barbara

Hey my sweet friend....haven't been here in a long time but wanted to check in on my ol friends.   My surgery was Feb of 2008 and i am about 4 lbs heavier than my lowest of 203 but have finally kicked it up a notch (had gotten up to 226) and am obsessed with walking and watching what i eat now.   I sure miss you Annie!   I have been busy with work and it seems i don't have time for much of anything.    i also have a rescue dog who is 2 yrs old and i don't have a choice but to walk when i get home as she grabs my trousers and pulls me to the door.  I also walk at least a mile and a half at lunch, 2 miles after work and 4 to 5 miles on the weekend.    Any plans for a reunion this fall?   I talk to Iris on facebook.  Take care and i love you my dear friend.  May not chat with you often but you are in my thoughts a lot.

Love ya, Pam

 Hi (((((((((((((((((((PAM)))))))))))))))))))))
Good to hear from you.
That is great news about your rescue dog .
I will not weigh mostly because of my lymphadema it has a mind of its own.
I feel great have energy like never before love my weekend job.
Have a general good sense of self.
I did find I am no longer lactose intolerant so from time to time I will have SF Skinny Cow ice cream keeping in mind the package may stay in my freezer for months before having any more.
Been dealing with family drama which can be stressful but I never forget about me.
That would be fun to have a reunion.
                                                        Love Ya Pam

I remember they were going to try something new with the lymphadema...it didn't work?   Glad you are enjoying your job and it gets you out among a lot of people to so that is great!  I am back to 80 to 100 grams of protein and under 1500 calories.  If i don't eat at least 1300 i don't lose.   i buy this pudding online that is 100 calories and 15 g of protein in cocomint. Just mix with 4 ounces of cold water and eat.  Get my choc fix as well as protein.  I also have a problem with nausea if i don't eat every 3 hours so this works great in the afternoon.  Sorry about the family issues.....that is a bummer.  Does your mom still have a nurse attendant or did you have to move her into an assisted living facility?   Here is the link if you want to try the pudding.  http://www.dietdirect.com/wonderslim-weight-loss-diet-puddin gshakes.html     If you are on facebook..add me as a friend.  I am pam figiel tokarz.   I will try to get back here more often.  My email address is [email protected].

Take care and love ya!  Pam
