Good Morning Everyone!

Today is the official "First day of Summer", I just can not imagine it being any hotter then it has been this last month here.

How was your weekend?  Mine was packed full of chores and errands.  My poor sweet DH only made it through the morning hours of Saturday before he had to stop for the day.  I felt like the EverReady bunny, I just kept going and going and going.  Something I would not have been able to do three years ago in the heat or any weather for that matter.  Every day since surgery is a WOW day.

Today I am scheduled in the office all day, but that could change.  I have lots of cold foods for my meals/snacks and flavored waters to keep hydrated.

Hope you all have a GREAT Monday!  (If that is possible!)

Every day seems to be the same. I'm still sitting in the hospital with my husband. I do manage to get my walk in the afternoon. and I've cut out the biscuit and gravy. I'm eating alot of hospital cafeteria grilled chicken. But you gotta do what ya gotta do to keep the weight off.

Sharon - glad to hear that you've got a plan and it seems to be working for you. Keep up the good work. I hope your husband is doing better.

I was reminded that today is the longest day of the year...and it also happens to be a Monday..Great...Just what I need the longest Monday in history. I'm full of sarcasm today. I've already warned the girls I work with that my kids are on my nerves, my extended family has gotten on my nerves, David is onthe list and I see no reason why the list won't continue to grow as the day progresses. Needless to say they're all staying away from me.

The weekend was nice - just not long enough to get everything done. AND it was so BLESSED HOT. I have started picking cherry tomatoes and should probably pick my first "real" tomato either this evening or tomorrow. There's nothing like a homegrown tomato. Last year I discovered that turkey bacon, lettuce and tomato on a low  carb wrap makes an awesome BLT.

Hope everyone has a great day. Try and stay cool and hydrated.

Good morning everyone!!  Yes, Carrie & Iris I agree, it's been HOT HOT HOT this weekend and I'm very concerned about how hot this August will be.  Wow....can't even imagine!!  Anywho, Danny (my new man) & I survived our move.  We're bruised & sore and I can think of better ways to spend my vacation week than moving but all is good.  Danny bought he & I new bicycles.  Top of the line kind actually and the man delivered them Friday evening.  Danny & I hopped on and went for a good nice ride.  It was nice & windy so not too hot to enjoy.  I'm loving my life and thanking God for it daily.  To add to my excitement, Danny has decided to have RNY surgery as well.  We go for his first seminar on July 1st.  He's so excited.  God is good.

Everyone stay hydrated and Iris, smile girl.

I am so HAPPY for you. (& Danny). that's incredible that he's decided to have surgery too. I'm a little dense sometimes but David & I just put it together the other day that yall used to work together. DUH?!?!?! It's a small world but another reminder to how good God is.
