I'm back and CONFUSED!

Well.....as you may have guessed from my "non-posting", I did NOT have my surgery in October of last year.  I actually backed out due to a lot of reasons, but probably if I'm honest it was mostly out of fear AND the fact that I felt like using that much money for myself was taking away from my family.  Not to mention that my grown sons were very upset over the decision. I also had 3 grandsons on the way and they are all now here and very healthy (and one more is due anytime).But I keep coming back to the fact that I want surgery and I need help.  I am now trying to once again decide between lapband and RNY (which is what I initially got approval for) and trying to figure out how to absorb the costs, time off work, etc.  Help!  Anybody gone through this same stuff.......

I think it is a very personal decision. If you're trying to decide between the two surgeries, I have to say that I'm incredibly happy with my RNY. I originally went in for the lap band, but after talking with my surgeon and weighing the pros and cons of each surgery, RNY was definitely the better choice for me.
