Hi Rafael,

I'm not sure which surgery you are having and recommendations for vitamins will vary greatly depending on the surgery type. Of course, I would check with your program to get their recommendations. You are not likely to see any 'difference' when taking your vitamins or even if you don't in the short run, but if you decide not to take your supplements you risk significant damage to your health, some of which may not be reversible, so it's really important to take your supplements and to have your labs done to ensure that you are getting sufficient concentrations.

I had RNY and I take 2 multivitamins without iron because I have an iron loading disorder that doesn't allow me to take iron. I also take 1600 mgs of calicium citrate with vitamin D and sublingual vitamin B12. I have my labs checked every 3 to 6 months and sometimes have additional vitamins such as D, if warranted. I spend about $30.00 a month on my vitamins.

I hope that helps.

I had RNY in March 2009, I was spending a lot on GMC vitamins and didn't feel any difference, a friend told me about Oligo and since I started taking it , i have a lot of energy and I only pay about $20.00!!!
