Just needed to come and vent and to admit my faults and ask for support
I've gain 5 pounds in the last several weeks.  And all it is, is comfort eating.  You see my husband has been in the Hosp. since May 5th.  We started in greenville and they sent him home may 28th only to go back to the hospital May 30th this time we're in Norfolk General.
Eating in the cafeteria (sp) isn't good to start with but they have one item that was always my favorite.  Biscuit & gravy.  Nothing good about it except for comfort.
So starting yesterday, no more biscuits & gravy.  and I am eating grilled chicken for lunch & dinner.  I did find out where there is Wendys at for the chili.  I can not afford to gain any weight that I lost.  I don't want to go backwards.
So there I admitted to others I screwed up and hopefully it won't happen again.  If it does I still have the support of the wonderful people here.
Thanks for letting me rant.
Please keep me and  my husband (Bernie) in your prayers

(((Sharon))),

We all screw up. The difference now, is that when we do, we can recognize it and make the changes necessary to get back on track. You know that before you probably would have gained 25 to 30 lbs before admitting to yourself that there was a problem. You can and will get that 5 lbs off. I've been where you are and I've also gotten it off. Like you, I've had a pretty stressful few months, but we can and will handle it. You may falter some, but you are here and you are looking at what caused the bump in added weight and what you need to do to correct it. KUDOS to you.

Wishing you and your husband all the best as you go through this trying time.

(((hugs))) & Prayers for you and your husband. You've admitted to the mistakes in the past that have led to the regain. Now it seems that you've got a plan for getting back on track. Those are some mighty long hallways around Norfolk General (air conditioned, water proof & available for walking 24 hours aday) so combine the movement with the new eating plan and you're set.

david & I may be riding up there to visit a friend of his over the weekend If we do - pm me and let me know your room # and if there's anything that you need. It will probably be Sunday afternoon if we go.
