Hi Guys thought it would be fun to start the thread this morning. I am up early to go to the gym. I had to change my trainer apt. because I have the Durham Bulls game tonight. Thought I would brag on my husband. When I got home last night he had signs with 100's on them all over the house, and a new pair of workout shoes. I laughed and laughed. I mean everywhere I went in the house. The kitchen, bedroom, hall, door, garage, stairway. It was so sweet it made me feel very proud.
I am shop shop shopping. It is sooooo much fun and the new dresses I have found for vacation are so very sexy and slimming.
On a more serios note, I am still missing my daughter. We have gotten some photos but I can not wait to talk to her on June 15th. This is waaaay harder then I expected.
I know somw of you have asked me to post photos and I am still working on those. I am such a computer illiterate and hate cameras, but I promise I will get you some pics of pre-op and now.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!!!!!!!!!

Hi Audra,

What a sweet, wonderful post. It made me smile as I thought of you turning every corner and enjoying the support and pride your husband is obviously showering upon you. Enjoy it, because you have worked hard for and earned it. That said, I'm sure you truly appreciate the support you are getting from your DH.

I can really relate to enjoying shopping for clothes. Isn't it nice to be able to select things that make you feel great instead of something that will 'do?'

I can relate to your missing your daughter as well. Our adult sons live in the SF Bay Area, so I don't get to see them much. I'm heading back to CA June 22nd for one of our son's upcoming weddings and I can't wait to see them.

I look forward to seeing your photos. I keep wondering what you look like. I feel like I'm getting to know you, but would know you if I ran into you at Duke or Trader Joe's. I hope you find a camera and take a few shots of the beautiful new you soon.

Warmly,

Barbara

good Morning!!! It's Friday eve - somehow that seems to make thursdays go by a little quicker. Looks like it'll be a busy weekend for us. David has family coming in tonight. I have friends coming in tomorrow night. Several of the kids who have grown up under my roof (my "extra" sons) graduate tonight and have lots planned for over the weekend. With any luck, David's class in Kinston will still be a go for next week so I can have the house to myself to recover.

Not much planned for today - sorta the calm before the storm.

Hi everyone.  I am doing good today.  I went to the pool with my daughter last night and got in about 30 minutes of aerobic activity.  Today, I went out bought some of the supplements that I haven't been taking but need to take.  Now I just need to work them into my daily regimen.  I am so happy that I have lost 50 lbs and two to three dress sizes.  I can buy regular size clothes (XL and 16's) for the first time in at least a decade.

Earlier this week, I went to the Beck group and had a good evening talking with some wonderful women.  I need opportunities to talk with adults and that was a great opportunity for me.  I work most of the day alone in my office and I don't get to talk to people much.  I need more social interaction with adults.

Well, I better get back to work.  I also wish everyone a wonderful Thursday.

Holly,

The feeling was mutual and we really enjoyed your company and look forward to seeing you at upcoming events. Don't worry, we won't burn the midnight oil on every outing ;-)

Keep up the good work and KUDOS on getting those supplements. It will really make a difference in your health in the long term.

All the best,

Barbara
