The actual path your journey takes varies a bit from program to program and I'm not sure who you are using so it's hard to say. But it sounds like you are on your way. Basically, they are gathering the documentation necessary to submit for insurance as well as making sure that you are in good shape for surgery. Normally, once you have all of tests and exams done, they schedule an appointment to determine the best surgical solution for you and then submit for insurance approval... sometimes, it's vise versa... once you have your approval, they normally schedule your surgery.

I hope that helps.

Once you get all those tests done and get your approval for surgery - you'll get your date. Take the time now to start learning as much as you can about life as a post-op. I'd suggest you not go crazy buying a bunch of protein powders or things like that - your tastes may well change after surgery. Learn those habits of getting some daily exercise, taking small bites and chewing thoroughly,  not drinking with your meals and taking vitamins every day. those are things you'll need ...well....forever.

Good Luck to you and keep us posted on your progress with the tests.
