2 weeks out, little weight loss

Hi everyone,
Today is day 14 for me, yet the scale has hardly budged in a week!  I am getting my fluids, proteins, and vitamins, and have started walking every day.
Sometimes I wonder if I am the fluke for which RNY doesn't work.

I am concerned that I am not doing something right... I am keeping a journal of all that I eat and drink, so I can keep track.  Just questioning my body right now...
Did anyone else experience this?
Thank you,
Amy

(((Britt))),

Go read my blog. You will see yourself reflected in there. Not only the lack of loss, but the doubts that it would work; the certain feeling that I might be the one person that would fail at this. As you can see by my avatar and other photos, nothing could be farther from the truth. Your body is struggling to keep you safe, so it's holding on tightly to every last ounce of your excess weight. Fortunately, your RNY will win this battle and the war; you will lose the weight, but it comes off in a stair step fashion instead of sliding off. You'll lose some, then stop, then start, then stop, but just stay the course and it will come off.

You may want to try using an online tool like www.mydailyplate.com to track your consumption. It's a great way to see not only 'what you are eating,' but the 'value of what you are eating.'

Hang in there... you'll be fine.

I am 10 days post op and I too am questioning my stand still in weight loss for the last 3 days.  In the mornings I weight one thing and by afternoon I have gained 2-3 lbs.  I too am getting my protein, water, etc.  However what I did not know and it may just be a suggestion, but no one ever game me a schedule or sorts....all I was told was to make sure I was drinking something every 15 min, which I have no problem with.  As I have looked deeper it appears the sample schedule goes something like this

7:00 2oz. or 1/4 cup protein
7:15 2oz. or 1/4 cup water/liquid
7:30 2oz. or 1/4 cup soup or broth
7:45 2oz. or 1/4 cup juice

Granted I sip everything but I have not followed this schedule, as I sip all day and for say Breakfast I have the appropriate and eat/drink slowly and I do the same for lunch and dinner.  I guess tomorrow I will follow this schedule and see how it goes.  I just wish my dietician had spelled it out better.  However I am sure that in the end we WILL successfully lose the weight.

Blessings
