Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Our weekend was so very hot and humid here.  It was much to hot to be outside for too long.  I spent most of my Saturday cleaning inside my home and getting laundry caught up.  Yesterday we able to get in some riding on our motorcycles, but it was very hot when we had to stop.  We picked up a new gas grill, we ordered, so we had steaks and salad for dinner last night for dinner

We adopted a sweet little calico kitten on Friday and she entertained us throughout the entire weekend.  Oh, if only we could live so carefree!

Today it is back to work.  I don't usually schedule any meetings on Monday, if I can help it, so today should be a little catch up on paper work for me.  Then I will stop for some fresh veggies to cook on my new grill and come home to work on the yard I didn't get to this weekend.

Hope you have a Wonderful Monday!

I got my yardwork done. I got the housework done. I got the laundry done. I got David packed up and sent off to his class in Kinston for the week. Now it's like I'm on vacation when I get home evenings this week. Ahhhhh..... when I left home this morning the last thing I did was put an arrangement of fresh flowers on the coffee table, a steak in the fridge to marinate and a bottle of wine in the fridge. I can't wait to go home. I think I might try to get my walk in before I ever go home.

Carrie - I'm sure you enjoyed the new fur baby. They are so entertaining.

Iris, I wish I lived close enough to have a "girls week".  Don't enjoy that wine too much now!

I figure I'll call one of the girls down the street to come help me polish off the bottle (ha ha ha ha).....I'm such a light weight  if I get one whole glass in me then I'll be flying high.

Hi All,

This weekend I mowed the new yard that sits on a very steep hill. I had to really wrestle with the lawn mower to make it mow across the 45 degree angle and keep me from tumbling down the hill. I also weeded the flower beds. Now, you have to remember that this is the girl who HATES yard work. I love the way it looks, but I'm not so keen on doing it. At any rate, when I was out there in the 96 degree heat with 96 percent humidity, I was thinking that there was just no way that I would have been able to do this before I lost the excess weight that I had been packing around.

We also had dinner with friends that were so very thoughtful of our dietary requirements. We had a lovely Fillet Mignon, salad, asparagus and baked potato. It was sooo good that I didn't stop when I should have and paid the price. No one else was the wiser, but I should have stopped a couple bites before I did. It's good to know that even three years post op, my tool is here; willing and able to remind me of my limits.

I'm still struggling with depression and having issues associated with that. I know that a lot of this is related to the move, so I'm hoping that we get the stuff moved and that all of the stress associated with the move will subside soon. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support I'm getting from my dear husband. He's such a trooper and has been a rock through all of this 'stuff.'

I'm really enjoying the break from all of the humidity. It's a beautiful day and I was thinking if I had just waited a day or two that the yard work would have been easier.
