Getting Ready
Hi All,
I'm having my DS with Dr Sudan at Durham Regional next week.. this is a silly question but I've been wondering it... DRH has that new (well, from like last year) bariatric unit around the corner from where I used to work (Select Specialty Hospital)... from what I understand it's part of the surgical unit, but do all the bari patients go on the bari unit or just anywhere in the unit in general?
Gosh that's a dumb nurse type question. I have been wondering it though... I watched them when they were doing the construction on it and I've heard it's so nice.
All that being said I'm totally psyched to have this surgery done... there's so much more living I have to do.
:)

I had my RNY at DRH in Dec.09 and loved the fabulous huge room and bathroom. I am not sure if it depends what time your surgery is or how many people get discharged before your admission on the floor plays a role in getting one of the remodeled weight loss surgery rooms. A friend had it at DRH a month before me and did not get one of the bariatric rooms. There is a limited number, and they are doing more and more every day. I hope you get one of the new remodeled rooms.
