Trying to be patient while waiting to be a patient!!!

Hi, everyone.
I got a call from a nurse at Duke WLS Center last week telling me they need notes from Feb, Mar, Apr and May from my docs.  The nurse said she would contact my specialist at Duke for the Feb. ones, and I was to have the others faxed to her from my primary.  Did that.  Now waiting to hear back on getting my first appointment.  Please provide encouragement! 
I went through most of this about three years ago and came to the conclusion the gastric bypass surgery was too risky for me.  Now it seems just nerve-wracking to wait. 

Note:  I'm wanting to find out if the LapBand would be best for me.

I know what you mean .  I'm also going through DUKE WLS Center.  I got a call from Dr. Pryor Nurse Thursday asking for docs.  I have to send all of my stuff next month, that will be four months of docs for me.  I also can't wait to be a patient.  I'm glad that you are back and hope you can get answer to you question and what would be best for you.  Good luck and look forward to seeing through you process.

Keep us updated with a date. I have my surgery date (6-7-10) after 6 1/2 months  this was a nerve-wracking wait for my insurance to approve.  But I must admit, time goes by so quickly. We will be on the losing bench before we know it. Hang inthere!

Sounds like you and I are riding in the same boat. I too had to get some more notes last week from my PCP to the Duke WLS Center..it's been frustrating with all this paperwork but I can understand they want to have everything they need when submitting to insurance. I have to call back tomorrow to the WLS Center so maybe I'll get the go ahead that they will submit it to insurance...CROSSING MY FINGERS!!!
