Good Morning Everyone!

We are getting some much needed rain here.  I am hoping it will continue with a steady drizzle through today.  I would love to have some green grass in my lawn.  The crunchy straw that exists now is not very eye appealing.  I will gladly deprive myself of my beloved sunshine if we can get some rain in the next few days.

Yesterday I was a little short on the water and consumed a few more "snacks" than planned.  I find although I do stick to food that is "good" for me, I seem to eat a little mindlessly mostly in the evening.  I really need to work on this and see if I can substitute some hydration for my "snacks".  I love herbal teas and have a whole cabinet of choices, so I will try to incorporated some soothing hot tea in my evenings.

The atmosphere at the office seems to have calmed down.  But I think I have been so stressed for so long, I can't seem to find my way.  I think I will need to really concentrate on relaxing my "guard".

Well enough rambling, it seems to me I am only making excuses for unacceptable behavior.

Hope Everyone has a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

I am having a great Tuesday. I think my girl weekend at the beach was just what I needed to refresh. If you are thinking of going to Myrtle Beach last weekend is the perfect weekend to go again next year. It is beautiful weather and everything is open, but the crowds are not there yet. It was fabulous!!!!!!!!
I also found that now that my sister and I have both had RNY eating while out of town is much cheaper. We shared a meal, with left overs, every time we went out. It was great.
Hope everyones week is good. It is great that we finally got rain here in Raleigh, my roses and flowers are smiling. I on the other hand missed the sunshine.

Blessing to all
Audra

Audra,

It sounds like you had wonderful and restoring weekend.  I love to have "girl time" even if it is just for one day or an afternoon.

There is something about the ocean that just relaxes you, too.

I also have found that sharing meals is always the way to go.  It leaves more money in my pocket for more important items, like new clothes!

I miss the sunshine, but when there is no more green in the grass it is time to give in to some much needed rain.  I hate days like today where there is no sun shining and it is not even sprinkling.  Just gloomy and it seems chilly inside with the air on today.

Have a GREAT day!

Good Afternoon.....

Wayne made it to New Orleans so my stress level should have decreased - NOT!!! He hated flying. So that has made this incredibly stressful knowing that no matter how well the week goes that he faces the connecting flights back home. I'll just be happy to have him back safely. He knew that he would not be able to smoke where they were staying or at the job site. He had not anticipated just how serious they were about the no smoking policy. There was an attempt to "confiscate" his half a pack when he got there to the compound yesterday. I don't think it went very well  - he's quite a bit like his Mom and offered to give them up when they gave him the $5 necessary to purchase another pack. After much debate - he won. Not a great way to start your stay. Then this morning he lets me know that he doesn't care for the minister that is in charge and leading devotions. Wayne saw some "flaws" in his theology and wanted to know how I thought he should handle it.  Oh me. It's going to be a very, very, very long week. Neither one of my boys are "perfect" nor do they choose to always take the high road - BUT they have been raised in church since they were only a few days old and they both have a very good working knowledge of scripture . hmmmmm...should be interesting.  truly the metamorphosis has begun for him.

Not an exciting day for me food wise. The advise was to eat lightly up until 2 this afternoon. Then liquids only until 6 when I start the colonoscopy prep stuff. UUUGGHHHHH.......

I;ll see yall around the forum in a few days. Greenville for "The" appointment tomorrow and then an appointment in Norfolk on Thursday with the pain management doc. Whooppeee.....
