New to NC forum

 Hello everyone my name is Deni.  I am almost 3 years postop come September and am doing pretty good.  Have maintained my weight at 145 since about a year and a half out.  I am currently living in Oklahoma but at the end of the month am moving to Lillington, NC.  I am a military wife and my husband is currently stationed at Ft Bragg but is deployed to Iraq right now.  I have 3 children, ages 21,10, and 6.  I am looking to be involved more in the forum than i have been previously with the OK forum.  Would also like to attend support groups that are close by somewhat and hope to find out where they are.  Thank you very much for any suggestions or info that you may be able to give.

Welcome to the forum! This is a warm, supportive group. I have an active support group in Raleigh and we have people that come up from the Fayetteville area. I think that there may be some support groups down in your area as well. You may be able to find them through OH and/or through some local Dr's offices. 

Like you, I'm about 3 years post op and am holding my weight; actually, I'm a little light these days due to some serious stress. I know that with all of this stress if I had not had my surgery I would likely have found 12 lbs or more instead of losing them. 

Also like you, I have children that range greatly in age. My eldest are twins that are 28 and my youngest will be turning 16 in a couple of weeks.
