Just got a question

Hi everyone. I am just wondering about something. My birthday is coming up very soon and i was trying to find out if anyone knows of any sugar free cake recipes or something. My kids feel bad that they can't get me a cake or anything so I was thinking of trying to get a recipe that i can help them make so they feel better about it. If anyone has any recipes they can share, i would greatly appreciate it. I'm always up for trying something new!!

I have used the reduced sugar cake mixes that use splenda with great success, but if you want a sugar 'free' cake, here is a recipe for a sugar free applesauce cake:

Thanks for the recipe, I am definitely going to try it. I saw the cake mixes you was talking about at lowes foods but I was honestly too scared to try them. Which kind did you like best? I might go and try one of them before my birthday so I know if I can tolerate it. Again, thanks so much for the recipe. It sounds good!

I've tried both the yellow and chocolate cakes and have liked them both. I have also used the splenda based frosting and liked it too. You just have to remember that these have reduced sugar, but are not 'sugar free' products. 

This past birthday was the first birthday ever I did not care if I had cake or not.
This was not always the case with me in the past.
In the past I would make up reason's why I needed a cake in the house and it had to be one with tons of frosting LOL
I have found those little 100 calorie Hostess cakes do well with me and something about getting three little cakes in a package is satisfying.
They have strawberry,chocolate,and little twinkies all have frosting.
If my memory serves me right one package has 6 grams of sugar.
I also saw over in the section where Little Debbie cakes are some SF snack cakes cant remeber who makes them but I have seen them at FL.
I read the label and I think they are 100 calories a cake.
For a second yes I thought about buying them but then told myself it wasent worth it and I would probally eat one or two and not touch them again in a week or so.
Anything that is too sweet right now is not appealing to me in fact I am watering down lots of my crystal lights.
So just when is your birthday?????

Im not all that excited about getting a cake but my kids want to do this for me lol. I have seen the 100 calorie cakes but i just havent tried them. I might try them before my birthday just too see if they agree with me or not. I'm scared that if i can eat them, i will just buy them for no reason at all and just eat them all the time. You know how it is. I am scared i am gonna gain the weight back  . I have lost so much weight and i feel so much better, i cant see myself weighing that much again.

As for when my birthday is, its June 1. My birthday starts hurricane season. I guess thats why I am so into hurricanes and tornadoes lol. If its weather related, I LOVE IT!!! I know, im kinda weird but thats just me lol.

Sweets used to haunt me if I had pie or cake in my kitchen now dont have it or really want it.
I do have food memories which seem to make me happy.
