I May Not Be Recognized at My Funeral
Now that I got you to look, let me see what you think...
So I recently attended a funeral and what I see has become the new norm is having a video of pictures throughout your life.
So, I have been overweight 97% of my life. Not much of a picture taker but somebody always happens to catch me, so I have plenty of before surgery pictures. Only have some after pictures. Again, just never much of a picture taker. I am sure my weight had a lot to do with that.
Been living in NC since 2001. Had surgery in 2006. Most of my family is in Baltimore and a host of friends as well. Most have not seen me since surgery. They will look in the casket and say 'who is that?'
My friends, co workers and church family between 2001 and 2007 got to meet and love the before and after me so they will say 'my how she has changed'.
My friends coworkers and church family after 2007 will look at the videos and say 'they showin the wrong girl!"
Everyone in my life does not know I had surgery. Some folks that I have only talked to via phone, letters, and email still think I am 400+. Some folks who have recently met me would never know I have struggled with my weight all my life.
I am still the same lovable girl. So when the trumpet sounds and I get my new, invincible spiritual body (no more sickness) everyone will be comparing notes about the body in the casket and the body in the video!
If I am gonna eat like a fat girl, then I gotta workout like a skinny girl!

High/Surg/current/goal - 320/253/150/healthy - I am 5' 3" tall - Size 8 now! Past surgeon's goal now!
Definitely miss seeing you! A much healthier me hopes to be around longer.
Although I had no comorbidities and heard too often from doctors that 'you are the healthiest overweight person I have ever seen', we all know my heart was under great strain.
That can be so deceiving cause by the time the heart shows its distress on the outside, it is usually in the form of a heart attack and/or death.
Here's to my heart breathing a sigh of relief!
See you soon!
