Hello + Plastic Surgery Questions?

Hello,

I used to come on these boards a long time ago and everyone was so helpful and made the process easier. So much has changed since then, I got married and lost 200 lbs!!!  My Husband is having issues with diabetes and being only 24 has Kidney Damage and will soon go on Insulin. He has be reccomended to do WLS in Greenville this Summer.

My problem is that I am about 2 years out and Weight loss has stopped I am about 50 lbs from my Dr.'s goal of 165lbs. I lost 200lbs and the amount of  excess skin is more than I could ever imagine.  I was wondering if anyone on here has started the Plastic Surgery/skin removal process and could tell me more about it and if there are any excellent Doctor's in the Greenville area or anywhere in near NC.  Also, is it normal for weight loss to stop 2 years out?

I am not at that stage yet, but at the Raleigh meet up group this weekend there were two patients that had alot of skin removed. They reccomended a plastic surgeon in Raleigh Dr. Schwartz. Maybe that will help you get started with a evaluation

Dr. Lynne Garrison with Greenville Plastic Surgery did my lower body lift in November.  She is excellent and I loved having a woman plastic surgeon....
