For those of us in the Triad area, preferrably Greensboro, can you please recommend a  bariatric-friendly primary doctor?

While I am set to have DS surgery next month and have done all of the pre-op requirements (of and including the initial convo with my PCP), today was the day to get the final medical clearance and had a very, very unpleasant experience and will no longer use my PCP.

Who do you use/recommend and why?  I'm obviously now finding a new PCP.

Thank you!!

So, how has she been for all of your post-op visits?

My surgeon takes care of the WLS stuff followups. But I have seen her for flu shot and such and she really cheers me on. She happens to be friends with my surgeon. She is delighted with the fact that I no longer have diabetes symptoms or other issues from before the weight loss.

Dr. Vyvyan Sun with Eagle Family Medicine at 3511 West Market Street in Greensboro has been my PCP for several years now.  Their telephone number is 336-852-3800.  She was very receptive and encouraged me when I told her I was considering WLS.  She also helped me get all the required tests done locally since I had my surgery with Duke in Durham.  She has been very encouraging and helpful since my surgery as well.    Good luck to you because a helpful and cooperative PCP is crucial in making this whole process go more smoothly.

Take care,
Rhonda
