Support Group in the Triangle Area??

Does anyone know of a support group that is open to the public in the Raleigh, NC area?  My doctor is in Greenville, and after I have surgery (which will hopefully be in the middle of April), I will never be able to get to the support group in time since I work in Raleigh.  I have seen some groups on-line, but they are for patients of that particular practice only.  I would appreciate suggestions. 

There is a Raleigh suport group. I am new and will be going to the first meet up on March 20th at Perkins on Capital Blvd, I believe at 10am

I run the group that meets in Raleigh and really look forward to meeting you and getting to know you. I'm currently in San Jose CA caring for my MIL following my FILs passing last month. My husband will be hosting the meeting this month. You will find that we are diverse group in every since; surgeries, surgical practices, where we are in our respective journeys, demographics, etc... Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

Great! As I mentioned, I won't be there this time, but hopefully I'll be back for next month's meeting and maybe we'll get to 'see' each other then.

I just moved to NC in October from the Orlando FL area and was looking for a group... are there a good number of band patients that attend these meetings??

Our group is very representative of the general WLS community and I would say that about 10% of the group are 'banders'. That said, I have run special interest groups for 'banders' in the past and would be willing to do so again if there was enough interest. I am currently in San Jose CA because we have a family medical emergency so I have suspended all of the special interest groups. I'll look into resuming them when I return to Raleigh.
