Good Morning Everyone!

How was your weekend?  Do you have anything planned for this week?  Come on in and share with us, feel free to just ramble.

I had a relaxing weekend.  Saturday morning I got my hair cut then it was off to run errands and do our weekly grocery run.  Then it was home to start laundry.  I actually got out the furniture polish and dusted through out the house.  My mother is due on Saturday and I did not want her to see that you could write in all my dust!

I am excited about my mother's visit.  I haven't seen her in two years.  Mom remarried in August and this will be the first time my DH will meet her new husband.  They will only be stopping her for 2 days on their way back to PA from FL.

Sunday we took our motorcycles on a ride out in the country to a place advertising it was a restaurant where horses come together with motorcycles.  It was a little toooo chilly for me on the bike and when I was given the choice to stop at the "bucks" for coffee, I chose to go home.  So that should tell you I was past cold.  I never give up a chance for a "bucks" latte.  I could not wait to get under a hot shower to warm up.  After warming up in the shower, I made my own yummy latte.

Friday afternoon right at closing,  the IT brought back my CPU, so this morning it will be interesting to see what was lost and what programs need to be reinstalled.  I was reassured that all my data was backed up so that at least was not lost.  I am grateful to be able to start the work week back in my own office today.

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Monday!

Good Morning!

My weekend was a bit busy. Friday night the entire family went to see the Blue Collar Comedy Tour at the RBC Center. We laughed so hard!!! I will have to say it was nice to sit more comfortably in the seats Friday than in December when we went to see Disney on Ice.  That 30 pounds sure did make a difference! Saturday me and my siblings gave my parents a 50th wedding anniversary party. It was very nice but casual. My parents are not "dress up" people!! Sunday was a lazy day!  Slept late, well the time change had a little something to do with that baked goodies to take to the A shift at my husband's work (I have those guys SPOILED!) took my son to practice baseball and went to Wal-Mart.
Today, I am having cheese toast for breakfast and chilli for lunch, not sure what supper will be!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

My weekend was a continuation of the extreme stress. I did get to take a couple of hours of 'me' time and I'm grateful for that. I went to see my mother and had to endure a verbal assault from the woman who takes care of my mother.  It was AWFUL!!! Apparently she was mad as a wet hen that I had shared with a mutual friend that she won't allow me to see my mother except once a week. Maybe she shouldn't do things that embarrass her... Okay. I know I'm acting like a teenager. I'm working on finding a better way to deal with all of this. I'm alone. I'm being 'assaulted' from all sides and I probably did make an error in judgment sharing with this friend that Edna won't allow me to see my mother. Obviously unburdening myself with that tidbit did nothing but stir up the proverbial hornets nest and cause me and my mother more distress. I spent yesterday praying for wisdom and guidance... It appears I've been lacking in the wisdom department.

Things continue to be difficult regarding the situation with my establishing care for my MIL. It's so hard when so many people have conflicting needs and desires.

My mother has called for hospice. It makes her impending loss all the more real. That said, I hope she will get the support she needs to ease her through the next few months.

My son who lives with my MIL announced that he won't be eating dinner with us anymore. He's distressed that he has gained weight since I've been here and thinks it's because of my cooking. He doesn't seem to think it has anything to do with his multiple portions, or the alcohol, pizza, brownies, etc... I just said okay. I've taken the chips, cookies, etc... out of the house. My SIL and others bring pizza, beer, brownies, etc... in. I guess I'll just continue to try to make reasonably healthy meals and he can eat them or not. I'm not his keeper anymore.

I have been doing a better job of taking my supplements. I'm trying. I was getting a lot of bruises and they weren't healing well, so I decided to get my act together.

I hope you all have a good day!
