Hormone Replacement

Anyone using a Vivelle patch or some other type of hormone replacement.  I'm on the patch and it causes my weight to fluctuate.  I know you're like, no way.  I tested it for a couple of months and without a doubt it hindes my weight loss.  I don't know if it's water or what.  My skin feels like jelly and I am sick of it but don't have any suggestions to give my doctor.

I have not been using the patch, but have been using DepoProvera and have not had any weight fluctuations with that medication. It may be that my dosage is much lower or the particular hormone/medication type. 

 

Can I make a quick inquiry regarding HRT -- specifically your Vivelle Patch?  I'm 5 years hysterectomy post-op and 6 weeks VSG pre-op.  Did you discontinue your patch before your surgery?  My hot flashes were horrible before I started on the patch and I cringe to think of having to d/c them for the procedure.
