Good Morning Everyone!

How was your day yesterday?  Do you have any plans for today?  Come on in and share with us, feel free to just ramble away.

Yesterday was one of those days that was soooo jamb packed that the day was over before I came up for air!  I have a feeling with the downsizing this is how it will be from now on out.

Today I expect more of the same.  I love that I can expect another beautiful SUNNY day again today with the added benefit of 72 degree warmth.  I believe we went straight from winter to spring with no transition in between.  I expect to see our dogwoods and azaleas blooming soon.  Fayetteville is absolutely beautiful during those weeks of the blooming trees and bushes.

Wishing you all a Wonderful Tuesday!

Hi! I worked in the gardens yesterday and looking forward to fertilizing the blueberries today! I can't believe I can work outside, take my grandson for a walk, clean house, make dinner and still have energy. No pain, fear or exhaustion! I am lovin life! I thank God and my husband for the encouragement to have my RNY.

My life is pretty rough right now-My husband was severly injured on Dec. 21st and has been in and out the the hospital with a rare strain of staph and requires me to care for him 24/7. I have a daughter that returned home with my sweet grandson and she is strugglingwith college and a job, and giving up her home. If I was not healthy I don't know how I could manage.

Counting Blessings today!

Good Morning Deb!

I know exactly how you feel about having to energy to get through each and every day.  It is a blessing that I will never take for granted.  I am amazed each time I "fly" up and down the stairs here at work.  I would climb them once a day and have everyone come to me prior to RNY.

I love tending to my lawn now too.  I will not allow my husband to buy a riding mower.  I like the exercise I get pushing the mower over our just less than an acre lawn.  I feel like an artist when I trim the bushes too.  Prior to RNY I paid someone to do these chores for me.

So sorry to hear about your husbands injury and your daughter's challenges.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Amen to the sunshine & beautiful day Carrie & Debbi.  I'm loving it!!  Yesterday was an off day at work due to a Dr.'s appt. in Elizabeth City.  This was a new Dr. that my PCP sent me to for a follow up on my sleep apnea.  UGH!!  Anyway, he ordered another sleep study but he said "he doesn't think the test will come back with any problems due to my weight loss, etc.  I'm crossing my fingers & toes hoping so.  I go Friday night.

Debbi, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband and yes, thank God that you're now healthier to handle the care of your family.  God's timing is perfect in all things.

Well, I best be getting dressed for my work day. Payroll calls and I'm sure the employees will be happy I'm working today.

Everyone be blessed!!

Cindy,

Did not get a chance yesterday to congratulate you on your WOW from Saturday.  I bet those new clothes look awesome on you.  I love the Dress Barn too.  I also love that I do not have to make my purchases in the Plus side anymore.

Like you I was in a 30, 32, 34 depending on the style prior to RNY, now I am a 16 bottom and large top.  I am working on getting down in to at least a 14 bottom.

Have a GREAT day!

It's Torture Tuesday!

I scheduled (3) back to back to meetings from 11am-4pm. I have to facilitate all of the meetings and the teams are quite diverse and each has it's own challenges. I usually spread my pain through the week but this week I decided to get it over in one day.

On the flip of that, I am thankful to have a job and that the project teams I lead are made up of some very talented folks who in the end will always work together.

When I left work late yesterday I could not believe how beautiful it was! These days are quite busy that I rarely get a chance to venture out during the workday unless i am on my way to a meeting.  I may have to 'make up' a meeting just to walk outside and take a deep breath!

I ate much better yesterday. No junk and no mindless eating. One day at a time!

Love ya!

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!

Valerie, so glad you were able to join us again today.  Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you.  Try and sneak a little sunshine.  It really does help the day along.

Well I am back to work...................

I thought yesterday was busy at work.  Well today so far has blown it out of the water.  I too am glad that I now have the energy to keep up and still have enough left over to go to the gym for 2 hrs each day after work.  Life is good.
Went out to dinner with some OH girls from our area.  It was a very enjoyable evening.  We always have something fun to talk about.
Youngest son is home for spring break from ECU.  Love him but not his mess.  Went to empty the dish washer when I saw that he was actually trying to keep his mess picked up.  He had put all of his dishes in the clean dish washer.  ack.  I never said a word, I just re-ran it and let it go.
My body does not define who I am but I am trying to define my body.  It  gets easier with every pound I drop.

Hello everyone today is beautiful once again and I enjoyed my day off yesterday from work however I am back at work today in the 911 center.

I had my Pre-op day yesterday and that was busy going between 3 places to get blood work, EKG, Chest xray, and meet with Nutrition and then Doc office so I am glad all of that is now behind me. I weighed this morning and since starting the Pre-op diet I have lost 7 lbs so that put
a smile on my face first thing this morning and then went in kitchen and made myself a great
shake with some diet ice cream and a protein shake and it was yummy finally lost the cardboard taste that they have had YaY! I am going to try these last days up to my surgery to follow the diet to a T!!! I have cheated cpl of days so far and then feel guilty but clear liquids for 10 days is hard
and others I have talked to have also had same problem I have had with the cheating.

I have made some friends on here which I am thankful for and to all of my new friends I look forward to talking and sharing with each one of you.

Hope everyone has a bless day and stay safe
