Monday Check-in
Good Morning Everyone!
How was your weekend? Are you ready for your work week? What are your plans for today? Come on in and share with us, feel free to just ramble away.
I had a very nice, but busy weekend. I started my morning Saturday with my monthly massage (DH Christmas gift to me). It was just perfect to smooth out the last of the work week knots. Then while DH was at a meeting I went to Books a Million to enjoy some browsing and a SF mocha. After a relaxing start to the weekend, we ran our errands and did our weekly grocery shopping. The rest of the day was dedicated to laundry and chores.
We rode our motorcycles yesterday afternoon. Although it was warmer and the sun was shining, it was a little chilly riding those bikes. So we stopped and enjoyed a hot coffee at the "Bucks" during our ride. It was a perfectly wonderful Sunday.
I feel refreshed and ready to face my work week. The sun is predicted to shine at least the first half of the week. So I can start my week off knowing the sun is there.
Wishing you all a Wonderful Monday!
OK, now for Saturday's update. Boy did I have fun...LOL. My sister, daughter & I went shopping/errand running. Dress Barn called my name first on my list so away we went and boy did we find some good sales!! I found some things I really liked and took them to the dressing room only to discover everything but one outfit was too big. So, I went back and found a smaller size in and...wowowowowowowowow, they fit!!! I'm still in shock!! Now mind you, last April I wore a size 30/32. Saturday I bought 4 size 16's!!!!! I was so shocked and overwhelmed that I had to sit down in the dressing room before I hit the floor. I love this new life!! Thank you Lord for making it possible for all of us who have chosen to have surgery to better our lives.
Anyway, I thought I'd share my excitement. This morning I have to make a trip to Elizabeth City for a Dr. appt. So had to take the day off of work. I'm sure tomorrow my desk will be piled high waiting on me to make up my missed day.
Everyone have a blessed day.

So I had a quiet weekend, after 5 dilations they had to give me a lot of sedation. Lots of sleep so I am ready for a great week of eating, vitamins and exercise!!!!!!!
Have a great week,
Audra
Checking in finally! Lurking is ok but I really should be encouraging others so, I'll try to get back into the swing of things. Glad to see you keeping up the daily check-in posts!
Since it has been a while, I'll play catch up...
God is good and life is great! I have have hope eternal and regardless of what I may list as negative, these things are temporal. I have a great hope in things eternal so I have a HUGE SMILE and am ever so thankful!
Attending a new church (Hilltop) and so love it!
Still working
Restless in my heart for those who are looking for work
Missing seeing everyone at the monthly meetings (seems everyone wants my attention on 3rd Sat)
Scale is creeping up; Exercise is null (all my fault)
Miss running; have made a few attempts to run on a regular basis; not motivated
Put a tv and cable in the exercise room to get back on track
Went to an auction for the first time and had a great time
Found out my neighbor was deployed to Iraq and all my neighbors have yellow ribbons on their mailbox except for me (I must have been in lurker mode in real life too)
Mindful stress eating; keep catching myself
Spending more time reading God's word than I ever have in my life
Missed an opportunity to share God's word with a co-worker
Struggling with the arguing, backbiting, corruption, and other ugliness that our political leaders, local and nationwide, are displaying
Thankful for another day
At peace with a medical diagnosis that scared the pants off me
Having dizzy spells at random times for no rhyme or reason; bought a blood pressure to monitor to see if that is the culprit
Had a wonderful vacation/couples retreat in early February
Wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks; I SO LOVE MY HUBBIE
Ok I'll stop. As you can see, ups and downs so no different than anyone else but not as major as some of the things you may be facing. Some days some thing seem like MOUNTAINS. Other days they are like ants hills.
I may not post everyday, but I do try to read through your posts everyday and take your concerns to the Lord in prayer.
I love you and hang in there! A brighter day is coming! Hope to talk to you tomorrow!
If I am gonna eat like a fat girl, then I gotta workout like a skinny girl!

I'm posting a little later today. Been busy here at work but thought I would check the site during lunch.
I had a great weekend. Friday night my son and I had the honor of eating with my parents on their anniversary. They have been married 50 years as of Friday. In this day and time that is a major WOW!!!! Saturday I cleaned and took my son to baseball practice. It was so nice outside! Saturday night we went out to eat with some friends of ours. we are all so excited....we are going on a cruise in April. You all know I love cruising!!!!! We will be on a 6 day 5 night to the Bahamas. In all there will be about 15 of us going. Cruising is so much fun when friends go.
Sunday had a lazy day but Blake had baseball practice that afternoon so I was forced to get away of the house. i did fix some sweets for my husbands work. they requested brownies with nuts and haystacks. Needless to say I was very good and did not sample! Everyone at his work really liked them and has requested more for Friday when they return to work.
I am thankful the sun is shinning too! I am sooooo ready for spring. I beleive my mood is decided by the sun.....if it's not shinning I'm usually not either!
I am looking forward to tomorrow.....I go back for my 1 month post op visit. I can't wait to see how much I have lost and get setup to the nut so I can make sure I eat correctly. I know this is easy for me to say now, but these have been 4 fast weeks! I am adjusting really well but I have found I have head hunger. I even dreamed of Papa John's the other night! I'm trying really hard to get more water in too. I can tell I need more but it is so hard somethimes!!!
Enough jabbering...until next time.....
