Good Morning Everyone!

How was your day yesterday?  Have any plans for today?  Come on in and share, feel free to just ramble away!

Where is everyone?  Not one soul shared with me yesterday!

Yesterday was a day of new beginings at work.  We had to redistribute our work loads and get use to seeing others leave after just a few hours each day.  The day went amazingly well considering all the changes.

Then I came home to workers still poundng nails in my new roof.  We had to listen to the pounding for 2 hours when it got too dark for them to continue.  I am excited to see my new roof when I leave for work this morning.  We went with the energy tax credit shingles.  They were a lot lighter in color then what was on the roof.  I need the tax credit to offset the cost of the roof.  I nearly had heart failure when we were getting estimates for the work.  The last roof we bought on another house in the 1980's was about 1/4 of the current estimates.  Talk about rising prices!

Today will be more adjustments at work.  Hopefully we will NOT get the snow that is predicted.  I am sooooo tired of winter weather.  I hate to be cold.  It just seems like we have had a longer and colder winter then usual this year.  I need the sun, I need the warm weather.

Wishing you each a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

Good Morning!

Well, yesterday was a busy day!  I did not have a chance to post so here is how my weekend was....Friday night, Baseball batting practice for my son, Saturday, baseball practice at 9:30 game at 11:15 and 1:15.  I just about FROZE!!! the wind was soooo cold.  Sunday....now that was my lazy day. My guys played paintball Sunday afternoon and I rested and cooked supper. I am so excited I am able to eat chicken now!

Monday was a busy day since I had to layoff about 5 employees last week. Carrie I know how you feel about the workforce being cut back. The same is happening to us. I suppose it's everywhere.

Today I am excited! I will be seeing some old friends tonight at our class reunion meeting. It's so nice to re-connect will friends. Everyone tells me I will be "hot" by October when the reunion is. HAHAHA Me HOT! Oh well, as long as my husband thinks I am!

Better get to a meeting, until next time.....

Phyllis, a class reunion sounds like so much fun.  I graduated from high school in 1979 and have never made it back home for a reunion.  I would love to see some of my old friends again.

Sounds like you are doing well.

Been on the go since the break of dawn but must admit I am loving just to be able to run errands walk from point A to B and feel good.
I am scheduled to see my PCP in the morning because I have been having almost constant hurting ears for a few weeks.
I kept thinking it was somehow related to the crafate I am taking for my GERD.
The doctor took me off the Carafate and now I am on the purple pill and an acid reducer.

Needless to say I am having to deal with some heavy duty issues with my mom and it is tearing my heart into a million pieces.
I have in my past suffered from anxiety.
Some of my symptoms are making me get things checked out.
I sometimes have a throbbing like pain along my lower left jaw.

Watching what my mom is going through is bringing up more anxiety for me.
I thought I had beat that ugly monster anxiety but it is rearing it's ugly head again.

Hi Annie,

Glad you were able to join us today.  I know what you mean about being able to just do what others take for granted.  I find that I am going up and down the stairs at work a lot more, just because I can.  There was a time that when I got to my office in the morning I would stay there until I had to leave because I am on the second floor and the stairs were such a chore then.

I will keep you and your mother in my prayers.

Carrie,
I think it is a good idea to never forget where we came from how difficult daily things were.
Some are painful memories but wow look at how that has changed.
Good for you on going up the stairs.
My therapist just moved to a new office.
Her first office was up two big flights of stairs.
I even counted each step.
The point is I was able to go see her each week and for that I am so grateful I found her.
This week she moved into her new office and....to get to her office I have to walk up almost as many stairs like was at the old office.
I do pick on her about what happend to buildings had to be handicapped assesible.

Hello from the WINDY Outer Banks!!!  My goodness this wind mixed with rain is something NOT to be desired.  I hate it.  Especially when it blows up  your dress....or skirt which I wore today...LOL.  Anyway, no I haven't posted here in a long time but do find myself reading the post.  I'll do better..promise.  Thanks to you Carrie for keeping us all "in line" and posting for support.  I love reading everyones post.  Today was a work day including payroll.  I do enjoy working with numbers but enjoy paying people even though it's not my money, I enjoy handing out employees checks.  In a small way, it makes me feel like I'm helping.  Crazy I know but I do love my job.  Take care everyone and try to stay warm & healthy.
