Pissed off at Duke, once again!
Thank you so much for the info. I will definitely keep that in mind. I can request specific people for the pysch consult and such then?
I was told Dr Sudan's nurse's name is Barbara, is she nice? Knowledgable? Will she throw a fit if I request specific people for nutrition/psych?
I haven't technically finished the 6 months, my last appointment is next week, but I will DEFINITELY stay on top of them for insurance approval.
Do I have to have all the psych/nutrition stuff done beforehand? Are there other labs? I've tried to get this info out of Duke, heh. Maybe I should be more of a PITA. :D

This is vitalady's recommended lab list. This is the one that Dr. Sudan thinks is too extensive, so I'm bypassing him and having my PCP do them all and will take the results to my 6 month appointment with Dr. Sudan. I'm not sure how he'll like me going around him, but it's my body and my health and so while I don't want to **** him off, I really don't care if he's annoyed with me or not.

Barbara has been nice to me, but I've dealt a lot more with his admin assistant, Cathy. She's the one that has made my appointments and whatnot. When they go to schedule your psych and nut appointments, I'd see who they are with. If you don't get who you want, then I'd say that you prefer the other one and have them make your appointment with them.
Do you live in the area? Truffles (another of Sudan's DSers) and I both have appointments with him on 5/17 and we are going to ride down together. (We're both in VA.) Terri N (another of Sudan's hopeful DSers) is going to meet us for lunch that day before our appointments. You are more than welcome to join us if you'd like.

I thought of you the other day, because when they transferred me to Barabara, her voicemail said, "Please do not leave more than one message about the same issue." - BUT when I called back 2 days later to see if the doctor's fax had been received, it had been changed. But it made me chuckle. :D
I think Cathy is supposed to be calling me, I will probably call her Monday because I think it's possible we were playing phone tag. I'm not sure when they will be scheduling those appointments, if they do insurance approval first, or after, or what-not. I'm nervous about insurance approval, though!
I'd love to see you guys on 5/17, just let me know details.
