Friday Check-in

Good Morning Everyone!

It's Friday!   It's Friday!  It's Friday!  I thank God for Fridays.

How was your day yesterday?  What are your plans for today?  How about this weekend?  Come on in and ramble away with us.

Yesterday was better than the day before.  I think each day gets a little easier for me now.  I have really been working on dealing with my stress.  I have been fortunate enough to have met a new OH friend on another thread that has experience working with people with stress.  She has made suggestions that have been successful for me.  They have been really very simple, kind of like the sippie cup thing for my water (Thank you AnnieP).

I am hoping that "Negative Nellie" has gone and won't be returning anytime soon.

Even the sun shone yesterday for a while.  That really put a smile on my face.

Today is the last day of work or at least the last full day of work for some at my office.  It will probably be a day of  many emotions for all.  Our agency owners have actually found part-time jobs for  some of those losing hours at our office in offices of their friends that need part-time help.  They are on a mission to make sure that all their employees are taken care of until they can come back to us full-time.  There is only one position that will be eliminated after today.  So all in all the situtation is lot better then it could have been.

My weekend is unplanned.  Other than the errands and chores that need to be done, I have not made any plans.

Hope you all have a Wonderful Friday!

Today is my 'Saturday'. I have the usual errands to get done. I am looking forward to relaxing and not being sick finally. I was out of work most of last week with a bad cold and then I had a medical procedure done that took me out another two days. So I have a really tiny paycheck this time around. I had planned to go and get reestablished at the gym I used to use but have to wait another week. But that doesn't mean I have to wait to exercise. I still have Fitness on Demand and I do use it from time to time to work out. I also just sometimes work out on the living room floor without the videos and that's okay too. I miss going to the gym and my water fitness classes. I have gotten a new swim suit and am all ready to get back to it but just have to wait only another week. I think I will also take advantage of the yoga classes at the gym too. I like doing it at home but it will be more fun with other people around. So how is that for rambling on and on?

Woo Hoo !!!!!!!!!!!! It's Friday !!!!!!!!! Oh, Oh, Oh and the SUN IS SHINING!!!!

Can you tell that I'm excited ? I think I might try and get a raised bed or two (or 3, 4 or 5) ready for some spring and summer gardening. I'm really excited about that. I so enjoyed it last year and this year the plans are for something a little bigger and more functional. Gardening can be very therapeutic.

BIG NEWS......looks like I'm going to make one of my goals and play softball on the church team this summer. I'm really excited about that. That gives me a new focus for my daily exercise now - running the bases at the park next to our neighborhood. Of course I couldn't find my bat or glove so .....shopping. Who knew those things were so dern expensive these days? Of course I hadn't bought either one of those things since probably the early '90s. But dang!!

I'll keep yall posted on the "spring training".

Carrie,

I'm so glad to hear that the carnage at the office wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. I'm sure it's still difficult, but I hope that the stresses will ease soon.

I think I may need to find a few ways to ease the stresses. Ben will be heading home with Sarah tomorrow. I think it will be good for them to get home and I hope that I'll be heading home soon as well. I think it may be several weeks at best, but may be a couple of months.

It's still stressful right now.

My weight has stabilized at about 141, so that's good.

I'm taking Ben and Sarah to the airport at the crack of dawn tomorrow and then I start the next phase where I'm the primary caregiver. I'm listening to my sons, SIL, and BIL talk about their plans for the weekend and none of them are talking about making sure that I get any time... We'll have to see how this will work. I'm not that good about telling them that they need to make time for me. I can only see my mother on Saturdays and they are all busy tomorrow. Another Saturday that I won't be able to see her.
