Crazy Earthquake Day

just checking in, we had an interesting wake up call at 5:38 this morning.
My little island of Okinawa Japan was rocking and a rolling due to a 7.3 earthquake.. No Damage done, no one injured... 
So strange, plus all the other ones that have hit today...

Well they just blew the warning siren up there and announced extreme danger is approaching..    We are having a tsunami with swells of about 6 feet.. I live right up the road from the beach much like others on this tiny island.
YAY there goes my sunday.. no beach life for me today...

I don't know that I'll ever get 'comfortable' with earthquakes, but I'm from the SF Bay Area in CA and I can't think of any place that I'd feel safe in an earthquake than CA or Japan. Both have taken many precautions to help us 'weather' the earthquakes, so you are very likely to get 'rattled,' but not likely to get hurt.
