We laid my FIL to rest today
It's been a long day. It had been raining this week, but today the sun came out and it was a cool, but beautiful day. The services were done by someone that knew my in-law's on a superficial level for years. He got a lot of information wrong as he talked about the man that dad was and it was clear that he didn't really know him very well. Also, I believe that the service was probably reasonably comforting to most of my family, but I personally found part of the service offensive and didn't find much comfort in the service at all. That was difficult.
We went to my SILs home for a reception following the service and some people from her congregation put together a lunch that was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed some lunch for about and hour and then mom was ready to leave. We came home, got mom settled, cleaned and got ready for the wave of family visitors. We made dinner for everyone, then I had a 4 hour pow-wow with one of my SILs.
I'm exhausted... and I think that everyone else is too. I'm hoping that tomorrow might be quiet... We'll see.Barbara

Hi Carrie,
Thanks... I was telling Ben that I had done okay with my supplements for a few days, but when we moved rooms I misplaced my supplements and I haven't found them yet. I'll be sure to get some more and try to take them regularly.
Thanks again for your concern and support.

We just got back and I saw this post... I want to tell you how sorry we are for your loss!!! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I don't want to bother you, but you know you can give me a buzz if you want to chat/vent/whatever or if you need anything at all.
Again, our condolences to you and your family.
