I just wanted to say I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm so sorry for your loss and hoping things will transition smoothly for your MIL.
My brother had hard feelings toward my niec re: my other brother who passed a year ago. Today, on the one year anniversary of his death, my brother finally called my niece and talked for 30 minutes. I'm hoping som forgiveness is taking place.
You know, all you can do is what you think is the right thing, which I agree is supporting your MIL and keeping things as normal for her as long as possible.

Thanks for your supportive and understanding comments. I am sure that we will work through this, it will just take some time. It is good to know that all truly have Mom's best interest at heart, even if we approach it differently.
