Post op weigh in.......

Hello everyone!

Well the post op went well today. Got stiches out of the 1 place that had them. Steri strips are off. Told I was doing good and .........weight as of today.......258!  WOOOO HOOOO!!!!!

I was so excited. Since my appointment on December 4th 2009 I have lost 24 pounds!!!! I am so excited.  I even saw someone I knew today that did not know about the surgery and she said" you have lost weight since I last saw you". Now THAT felt GOOD!!!! 
On the down side. I have been having a pulling pain on my left side. Doctor said it was from where they use that area to do most of the work. So, I have really overdone it since I am moving around better and feeling soooo much better. I am so independant and hard headed as my DH would tell you!  I have promised myself I will take it easy and let him and my son do the laundry, etc. 
I am looking forward to going to the Support Group meeting Thursday. Hopefully I will see some of you guys.

Congratulations, Phyllis!   My surgery is one week from tomorrow Nervous but excited.  I am thrilled with your weight loss so far and look forward to hear about your continued success.

I too had the pulling pain on my left side for a few weeks after surgery.  The nurse suggested a heating pad on that area and it really did help.

Sounds like you are doing great.
